Women — go green this holiday. The color of emeralds, green is the new black at Neiman Marcus, where the retailer’s newest Christmas Book offers buyers the chance to not only own a custom-made piece of jewelry designed by Stephen Webster and featuring a 7.2-carat emerald, but also to join Webster on a trip to the Gemfield’s Kagem emerald mine in Zambia.

This is an exceptional and magical place, where emeralds are mined, and where warning signs for crocodiles are all on site.  The Neiman Marcus package also includes dinner at the mine’s Lake House (I have dined there and it is a fun experience), and two days stay at the Royal Livingston Hotel by Anantara in Zambia. From there, the buyer of this package will then spend a day in London with Webster as they embark on a journey for the perfect piece of emerald jewelry.  The package is a mere $300,000 and there is a charitable component, as $40,000 will go to the Heart of Neiman Marcus foundation.
