As spring is around the corner,  wine festivals will soon begin — with people raising a toast to good times. Now, some of the world’s leading watch brands have incorporated the rich hues of the vine into their designs, making wine-colored accents one of the hottest trends for spring. Pantone named “Marsala” 2015’s Color of the Year, and many watch makers are embracing this shade and the deeper, richer hues of bordeaux, burgundy, and port. Whether as a strap or on a dial, a wine hue is on trend and in demand for its style and saveur. Rolex, for instance, features a bordeaux-hued dial on its mechanical self-winding COSC-certified Oyster Perpetual Calendar watch ($5400). Paige’s Altiplano white gold watch is accented with a burgundy lizard strap ($26,000). David Yurman’s Classic watch also dons a wine-toned strap ($4,600) and Parmigiani Fleurier’s Tonda Metropolitaine watch has a cabernet hued dial ($11,500).
